This Privacy Policy explains how WakeUpPal ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the WakeUpPal mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

We are built to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use the App, this may include:

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, contact list, or precise location.

2. Missions, camera & motion data

Some missions need access to your device sensors so the App can confirm you completed them. How each mission handles your data is described below.

Processed entirely on your device

Verified using Google's Gemini API

For these two missions, the camera image is sent in real time to Google's Gemini API (Gemini Flash) so it can return a simple yes/no result confirming whether the mission was completed. We do this only at the moment you run the mission. The image is processed transiently to produce that result and is not stored by WakeUpPal, and is not saved to your photo library unless you choose to save it. Google processes the image to return the result and, under Google's paid API terms, does not use it to train its models. Google's handling of data sent to its API is governed by the Google Cloud Privacy Notice.

The App requests camera permission only when a camera-based mission runs. You can decline or revoke camera access at any time in your device settings, though camera-based missions will not function without it.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only with service providers that help us run the App:

5. Subscriptions & payments

WakeUpPal offers an auto-renewing subscription at $1.99 per month or $12.99 per year, which may include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. We do not receive or store your full payment details, which are handled entirely by Apple.

6. Data retention

Alarm and mission settings remain on your device for as long as the App is installed and are removed when you delete the App. Mission images for the sky and bed missions are not retained after the verification result is returned. Diagnostic and aggregate usage data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above. You may request deletion of any data associated with you by contacting us.

WakeUpPal is rated 4+ and may be used by children with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not require an account, we collect only the minimal information described in this policy, and we never use information to build advertising profiles or to serve advertising to children. The sky and bed missions send a camera image to Google's Gemini API solely to verify the mission, and the image is not stored by us. 9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and data sent to the Gemini API is transmitted over encrypted connections. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

WakeUpPal may be used worldwide. Information processed through our service providers, including Google and Apple, may be processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws. By using the App, you consent to such processing.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
